Wade Robson: Michael Was A Family Man
World-renown choreographer Wade Robson talks to ET about the private side of Michael Jackson.
Wade has worked with the likes of Britney Spears and many more, but before he taught the moves -- he learned Michael's. At just 8-years-old, the dancer was already perfecting the moonwalk and appearing in Jackson's video for his song, "Jam."
But beyond the music, Wade says Michael was a friend and family man. "We talk so much about him as the pop legend, which is important," he says. "But we need to remember that he was a man and a father and that's what it's about. He was a wonderful father," he adds.
Now Wade is paying respects to the late superstar by choreographing a dance tribute for the upcoming MTV VMA awards -- which will feature performances by Green Day and Pink.

Michael Jackson Speaks At Carnegie Hall, New York 2001
On February 14, 2001 Michael Jackson's initiative 'Heal the Kids' presented a 'Valentine's Day Extravaganza' at Carnegie Hall, New York City, USA, featuring an all-star panel of celebrities and experts.
Michael welcomed the participants and the audience with the following words:
"I would like to welcome you to Carnegie Hall, the world's most famous concert hall to hear an entirely different kind of music, a loftier melody. It's a more eternal song.
There are two kinds of music. One comes from the strings of a guitar, the other from the strings of the heart. One sound comes from a chamber orchestra, the other from the beating of the heart's chamber. One comes from an instrument of graphite and wood, the other from an organ of flesh and blood. This loftier music I speak of tonight is more pleasing than the notes of the most gifted composers, more moving than a marching band, more harmonious than a thousand voices joined in hymn and more powerful than all the world's percussive instruments combined. That sweet sound of love.
Just a generation ago, it was this sound that could be heard in every turn in every town. It was the sound of love that echoed in the living room when a father giggled with his son or a mother tickled a small infant child. It was the sound of love that echoed from children's literary classics as the parents read children dreamy tales before they went to bed. And it was the sound of love that reverberated in their dinner conversations. Between parents and children, not just once a year over turkey and stuffing but everyday for peace and prosper.
Sadly, that sound has become a lost melody, a forgotten refrain, an empty tune and all we have in its place today is a dark and terrible noise. Instead of dinner conversations, there is the noise of video games. Instead of homework there is the din of the evening news. And instead of regular conversations between parents and children about drugs and violence, there is the deafening sound of silence.
Who among us would have believed that the sound of children at their playgrounds would be replaced by the sound of automatic machine-gun fire at our schools? That the sound of little girls skipping rope would be overshadowed by the frantic squeals of children dodging bullets? Yet, instead of loving our children more, we install metal detectors in our schools.
Are we blind to the fact that our children are raging against the indifference, crying out against the abandonment or thundering against the neglect?
'Heal The Kids' is about doing something, about making a difference and trying to help adults and parents realize that it's in our power to change the world that our children live in. As a wise man once said, "If not us, then who; if not now, when?"
My friends, with two children of my own, I know what it means to have to balance the demand of family and career -- let's not even talk about finding a date for myself, even though Rabbi Shmuley keeps telling me he's going to find me the perfect woman. My response is, "As long as it's not a journalist."
But learning how to strike this very necessary balance is what this special evening is all about. In three weeks time, at Oxford University I will be delivering an address with strong implications for dealing with the parent-child relationship and it's an address that is certain to surprise you. Until then, I want to thank you all for coming out, showing your love. And I want to offer a couple of special thank-yous. I'm overjoyed that we have 100 New York City teachers with us. I want to thank Steven Shaunfeld, he's a wonderful, wonderful man. Everything he does for 'Heal the Kids' is just incredible.
Together we can make a change for the better; together we can heal the world and make it a better place. God bless you all, I love you all."
CLOSING:
"I love you too! (In response to the fans' screaming)
I want to thank you for participating. I truly hope that the thoughts expressed tonight will inspire all of us to love our children with all our hearts and souls. I would now like to take a moment to express my thanks to our participants. God Bless you all and I hope to see you at Oxford."

Michael Jackson Sand Sculpture At Belgium Sand Castle Festival
The world's largest sand sculpture festival has begun in Belgium. It includes a larger than life sculpture of recently deceased pop-star Michael Jackson.
The world's largest sand castle festival is underway in Belgium at the beach side town of Blankenberge.
The event has been running for 11 years. This year's theme is pirates. For inspiration, the sculptors spent an entire day watching pirate films.
34 artists are representing eight countries.
The exhibits are the work of seven weeks. They're made of a special type of sand that comes from the bottom of rivers.
A last minute addition was a sculpture of pop-star Michael Jackson.
Borescki Wiaczeslaw, a Polish artist, spent four days building the two metre tall statue. He used the cover of the album History.
Borescki Wiaczeslaw said, "In fact, my artistic career started with Michael Jackson. I once found a picture of him in a newspaper so I took a pencil and I started to draw his portrait. I was 16 years old and after that, I gave it as a gift to my first girlfriend,"
Michael Jackson and the pirates will remain on display until the end of August.

Flo Anthony On Pepsi Commercial Accident
Flo Anthony is speaking out about the dramatic 1984 Pepsi commercial, in which Michael Jackson's hair caught on fire and how the incident affected the late King of Pop.
"What we also are failing to see is what happened to Michael is the psychological ramifications...," Anthony tells ET.
Anthony describes the video as "extremely shocking" and "disturbing," saying that the magnitude of Jackson's injury was not made known to the world at the time of the accident.
Behind the Scenes Of The Tragic Michael Jackson Pepsi Commercial
Rebecca Reddin, the talent coordinator on the commercial, and Naomi Naughton, her then-teenaged daughter who watched from the audience, describe the scene. "We saw Michael enter, we saw something go wrong, and we knew that there was a problem," says Naomi of the disastrous take in which pyrotechnics went off early and the King of Pop's hair caught fire. "The next thing we knew, the very large body guards … threw themselves on Michael. We didn't know why."
Rebecca worked for the commercial's director, Bob Giraldi, and also worked with Michael and Paul McCartney on the "Say Say Say" video. During the commercial, Naomi sat in the fifth row with two of her friends right behind Janet Jackson.
"The fact that it was a Jackson Pepsi commercial was an exciting thing that people were happy to be a part of -- there were fans, and many, many of them -- it really felt like you were at a concert," says Naomi, who added that the Jackson family was also in the audience, as opposed to waiting backstage: "They wanted to be a part of it."
Rebecca was backstage when the accident happened. "A production assistant ran past me going with great speed, ran for ice, said somebody was hurt onstage, ran back to the stage," she says. "I just remember getting a bad feeling and wanting to know what happened."
Kathy Griffin On Special Michael Jackson Connection
Kathy Griffin was an extra on the pepsi commercial, shot in 1984. I was way in back of the crowd scene, and when it happened, we didn't really know exactly what happened at the moment, and it's really fascinating to watch that footage because you can tell that Michael doesn't know for a minute, and being the consummate pro, he keeps dancing and stuff.
"To see Michael Jackson come out with the glove and the sparkly outfit, and he was so thin, I have to admit it's one of those moments that you look at him and go, 'Is that really that person?' And it was really exciting to see him,"
